Sometimes we all feel like we carry the world on our shoulders (or a boob)
but when you realize

that your life is heavy enough, you are getting a head start out on happiness.

The last 12 months I've carried a lot of past decisions on my shoulders, some financial, some family and friends. I keep looking for a place to set things down sometimes, but cant seem to find a suitable place. At the risk of my health, at the risk of losing my family and friends, I look for my happiness. I found some of it on a personal level with my girl friend. She has given me hope. Lately though, the more I try to make situations of the past right the more I feel like I am losing the rest of my life. I feel like if I am not in the constant flex of being in their moment of help and not finding solutions to my well being, I am losing them. I know that sounds ridiculous, but then again so has been the past 38 years. Life for me is more complicated than a Rubik's Cube.

Just needing to say this out loud not to be confused with mean eddie g rantings or what not. I am looking for a spiritual kick to the head, some enlightenment. I need a new view, new perspective and new people in life, not that I want to lose the old ones, but life is feeling pretty stale. Need to shake it up a little!!

I didn't have a clue where I was going or how I was going to start to make a difference, for myself. Then one day I am bumbling on the Internet and I run across you. The miles between us never change, but we are working, prepping and making sure when we leap we will catch each other in our arms and never let go.

I opened a door to my heart and you raced in, your very being has invaded my soul, my thoughts, my feelings, they take me over and I am only who I am because you are in me. I no longer am in control of myself but rather you are in control of me as everything you do makes an effort and changes me, it determines my actions even when you are not around. When I say I Love You, it makes my whole body tingle, I just need to say thanks. Whatever happened to you in your past, good or bad I am happy God has guided you to a place where I could find you and I am happy you have trusted me, respected me, and loved me in ways that were right for me.

Promises are made to be kept and to be broken: I make one promise and I am pretty sure it will keep with the Grace of God and that is I will always try. I am big on Hope! It does a lot of things in a lot of different ways.

I Love You Dutch! I know with God's Help we will be together always soon, I believe we are meant to be together for a long time, no one thing can define it, except the feeling that burns in my soul that I want you. The days are harder and longer knowing your coming sometime, not knowing when is a good thing because the countdown would be unbearable, just knowing it will be is enough. I know you think sometimes Love is not enough and feelings of negativity creep in, but I believe Love can conquer all. If you don't know I will show you how, just take my hand and I'll lead the way.

This weather is so depressing! It was sprinkling earlier. I know when it all burns away its going to be Hot as Hades but still, I just want to complain because I can and its still depressing. :-( Lakers are going to play agin tonight that makes me happy! :-) If they take it tonight, its just another championship in L.A. oh yeah!!! Magic wont have a chance, very unlikely they could win 4 in a row. Angels need to start kicking it into another gear if they want to get to the playoffs. Has everyone got their Father Days cards yet? Make sure you do. I am looking for work again, want to get back into Corp. Security or some other business, the mailroom is sucking lifes marrow out of me. I want to make another weight loss push I made my first quarter goal now I just want to see if I can lose another 20 or more by the end of summer. I think thats an obtainable goal. My honey by good fortunes and fate found the missing kitties we have been looking weeks for. I am so happy they were found. Dutch's mom is going to keep one, I wonder what she will name it. Were trying to convince her she should have 2 because kitties come in pairs, right? They are on there way to the vet and I hope they are all in relative good health. I am very excited they were found. Hopefully more pictures will come later.

Just want to say again Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and Grandma, Dutch's Mom and Grandma and to all the other Mother's out there celebrating this day that should really be celebrated everyday but its nice to do a little extra something to show to everyone else just how special are Parents and Grandparents are to the world. A Mothers Love is unparallelled its unrequited, unconditional and should be guarded, because no one loves like a Mother does for there children and to the other loved ones in there lives.

Family is Special, there are good times and bad but to know what that is and to respect the bonds that keep us together should never be forgotten. I just want to say I love my Mom for all that you are. Without you I would not be who I am and I could not carry your love onto my own family.

First off I have to say BOOOOO on the Angels! How can you let the Jays beat you up like that. Have some self respect. I can't go on to much about this cause it will make my blood boil and I don't need the heart attack right now.

Secondly, Lakers, your win last night was pretty impressive considering your lackluster first half. Props to Kobe on the pass to himself off the glass in the second half that was sick!!!

Lastly, this has been a trend of late with young people at the bars, it's regarding tipping! I know times are hard and the economic failure has us tightening are belts. Seriously though, don't come ordering drink after drink and not tip, bartenders need to make a living too you know. Sure the occasional faux pau and forgetfulness happens but not to lay a dollar down is just not right. if you think its not expected or you have that mentality all they did was twist off a cap, well just dont get to upset if your not waited on and you wait forever for that next drink. I don't want to hear you cry about it. People need to start taking care of there Bartenders, PERIOD!!

16 Rules that should be considered...

1. Get and stay out of your comfort zone. I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned about security." My response to that is simple: "Security is for cadavers."

2. Never give up. Almost nothing works the first time it's attempted. Just because what you're doing does not seem to be working, doesn't mean it won't work. It just means that it might not work the way you're doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn't have an opportunity.

3. When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think. There's an old Chinese saying that I just love, and I believe it is so true. It goes like this: "The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed."

4. With regard to whatever worries you, not only accept the worst thing that could happen, but make it a point to quantify what the worst thing could be. Very seldom will the worst consequence be anywhere near as bad as a cloud of "undefined consequences." My father would tell me early on, when I was struggling and losing my shirt trying to get Parsons Technology going, "Well, Robert, if it doesn't work, they can't eat you."

5. Focus on what you want to have happen. Remember that old saying, "As you think, so shall you be."

6. Take things a day at a time. No matter how difficult your situation is, you can get through it if you don't look too far into the future, and focus on the present moment. You can get through anything one day at a time.

7. Always be moving forward. Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. The moment you stop improving your organization, it starts to die. Make it your goal to be better each and every day, in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen. Small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.

8. Be quick to decide. Remember what the Union Civil War general, Tecumseh Sherman said: "A good plan violently executed today is far and away better than a perfect plan tomorrow."

9. Measure everything of significance. I swear this is true. Anything that is measured and watched, improves.

10. Anything that is not managed will deteriorate. If you want to uncover problems you don't know about, take a few moments and look closely at the areas you haven't examined for a while. I guarantee you problems will be there.

11. Pay attention to your competitors, but pay more attention to what you're doing. When you look at your competitors, remember that everything looks perfect at a distance. Even the planet Earth, if you get far enough into space, looks like a peaceful place.

12. Never let anybody push you around. In our society, with our laws and even playing field, you have just as much right to what you're doing as anyone else, provided that what you're doing is legal.

13. Never expect life to be fair. Life isn't fair. You make your own breaks. You'll be doing good if the only meaning fair has to you, is something that you pay when you get on a bus (i.e., fare).

14. Solve your own problems. You'll find that by coming up with your own solutions, you'll develop a competitive edge. Masura Ibuka, the co-founder of SONY, said it best: "You never succeed in technology, business, or anything by following the others." There's also an old Asian saying that I remind myself of frequently. It goes like this: "A wise man keeps his own counsel."

15. Don't take yourself too seriously. Lighten up. Often, at least half of what we accomplish is due to luck. None of us are in control as much as we like to think we are.

16. There's always a reason to smile. Find it. After all, you're really lucky just to be alive. Life is short. More and more, I agree with my little brother. He always reminds me: "We're not here for a long time; we're here for a good time."

David L. Arneson Dies at 61 Long Live D&D!

(CNN) -- David Lance Arneson, who helped trigger the global phenomenon of role-playing games as co-inventor of "Dungeons & Dragons," has died at the age of 61.

A statement on the game's official Web site, wizards.com, said Arneson died Tuesday evening "after waging one final battle against cancer."

Arneson "developed many of the fundamental ideas of role playing: that each player controls just one hero, that heroes gain power through adventures, and that personality is as important as combat prowess," the statement said.

The game's co-creator, Gary Gygax, died last year.

In 1974, Arneson and Gygax created "Dungeons & Dragons," which allowed players to assume roles in a magical world. They could be fighters or wizards, elves or dwarfs.

"As characters journey through various lands, they search for hidden treasures while battling menacing monsters with their own brains and brawn," a description on wizards.com says.

Some games would last days or weeks -- or even longer. "Game campaigns are as limitless as the player's imaginations," wizards.com says.

I knew this image would come in handy once again it almost accurate depicts the sudden mood swings felt on this glamorous, less infamous day. On record you can quote me as this is the worst Christmas ever. There are a lot of reasons for this and I don't feel like discussing them so don't fucking ask, this is a rant a tirade something to kill fucking time while I purge itunes and listen to Adam Ant screaming in my ear at this nano second. I can't wait to seal this pathetic year up when I go to work on New Years at the bar hoping I get to kick someones drunk ass...is that bad?

I am glad this is giving me something to do other than watch the bald man in front of me play his XBOX in dreams of conquering his game, with no other reason that he is to lazy to go to the movies with me to get me out of this maddening boredom. The only faded bright light was the Gingerbread I got today other than that there are not a lot more things I could dream of that would make anything better in any sense in the doldrums's of my mind. I am suffocating by my ineptitude to find something to do not that going out by myself is not a valiant effort, but who are we kidding right. I need to shake shit up, start acting rather than reacting and become the mean eddie g we all know I use to be, you know who you are that remember ;-)

I'll spare you the rest of any dribble that is just pouring out. Mr. Ant is done and I need to move on to some Morrissey, who's tongue is most silver, and rings of House like idioms that crack into my cranium.

Let me just share with you my premise here for this rant before I even get started here, and I quote,

I like to play a game with my son, Joseph. We sit on a bench in touristy Old Town, Alexandria, Va., and we're not allowed to get up until we see a dozen pairs of Crocs. It usually doesn't take long. But the other day we were stuck at eight after a few minutes, and I was getting a little concerned. Just then my boy leaned over and said, "Don't worry, Dad. A family of dorks will come along any minute." To paraphrase Hank Hill, if he wasn't my son, I would have hugged him right then, I was so proud.

I know what you're thinking: what kind of sick father lets his impressionable young son call people dorks because of the shoes they wear? Well, who else will teach him that wearing sweaty bright purple clown shoes in public is not OK?

He certainly won't learn that lesson at school. Teachers seem to be some of the biggest abusers of this horrid fad."

It's When I ran into this article I thought I just glance it and see, thinking this is just another filler for the day but the antagonistic overtiones and the thoughtless banter made me realize that someone as Mr. Tuttle who could write for such a prolific newspaper would swallow the red pill and fall down the rabbits hole into the pit of anti semitism of a product, idea, worst of all the right to choice, made me want to step up and send in my 2 cents.

It's people like Mr. Tuttle why America as a people are go in to Hell in a hand bag and why we should weep for our youth of today. They have no direction, and more and more it seems like the ones with parenting skills such as you Mr. Tuttle are leading us down the prim rose path to destruction with behavior like this. Regardless of what your personal opinions are and I do believe in the right to express it, even to your kid in such a manner may be your inalienable right, but not teaching him to have a choice and the ability to take in information and make up his own opinions based on the truths he should be able to discover for himself is more of a travesty. Forget about the shenanigans of you think crocs are ugly and that the more than cult following of a fad (they have been around for 5 years I think they are here to stay) or that they are more popular than ever because of the comfort factor in a day of age where we are all a little more concerned with how we look, you should be thankful that people are still able to exercise common sense and wear what is more comfortable and anatomically correct foot wear than the masochistic shoes more people wear to say look at me, look at me. Please do not presume that people are wearing these to make any type of fashion statement, please leave them alone and any other people who wish to exude their opinions in the fashion world.

The next time your going to do a piece like this remember do it up beat, state your own opinion but leave with something like a more detailed work of Missionaries just trying to provide shoes to 3rd world countries that would wear crocs as a symbol affluent hypocrisy just like anyone else (wink)

The main point is the sad prophetic fruition of your sons life starting down a dark path with you holding the torch infront of him to this world of hate. Please stop what you are doing, try to undo what you can and I will pray for the both of you that, goodness and encouragement are what needed more now than ever in your lives as well as others.
